about
I was born into a family of jewelers and artists. My dad being a goldsmith and jeweller and mum a contemporary jeweller. This heritage allowed me access to jewellery studios from a young age and gave me the means to slowly build my own creative outlook on jewellery.
The lost wax casting process was always something that fascinated me. Melting small pieces of wax together, bending wax sheets into various shapes or molding soft wax using my hands was always the part of the process that gave me a sense of creative freedom. The initial resulting pieces were often large, chunky and often unwearable (many of which still sit on my shelf today). As I found myself spending more and more time in the workshop my skills started to develop and I began finding my own approaches to jewellery. Stone setting became the technique I found myself coming back to over and over. It allowed me to add colour, texture and dimension to my work.
Collaboration was always a very important part of my journey. Being able to step into other creative fields such as music, fashion, photography, videography, and graphic design allows me to draw influence from places outside of the jewellery workshop.
The pieces on this website, both images and for sale works, reflect my enjoyment of the manipulation of materials involved in the jewellery making process. All works are one of one and hand made with care and love!
